The Outstanding Young Persons – TOYP is a program that seeks to highlight and give recognition to these achievements of young people and to contribute to giving good examples and incentives for young people to redirect their energy in the right direction and create a positive change In society.
TOYP was conceived by Dowart Hawes, President of JCI USA in 1931, and launched in 1933 at JCI USA. Since 1952, many national organizations have set up their own programs. People such as Orson Wells, Benigno Akino, Henry Kissinger, Edward Schreiber, John Fitzgerald are just some of the recipients of these squeaky prizes.
In Bulgaria, the project started in 2015 when the most prominent young people of Bulgaria were awarded for the first time, one of them Sofia Kalinova being recognized as one of The Outstanding Young Persons of the world in 2015. She was recognized for her work in support of the integration of hearing impaired people at international level. Sofia received her award at an official ceremony in November 2015 in Kanazawa, Japan.
At a special ceremony during the conference, the awardees for 2017 will receive their awards. The jury, special guests, partners and friends will be part of this exciting and memorable event.
The ceremony is part of the official conference program and everyone who has purchased the White Pass or the Green Pass will be able to attend it.
